🏁 DRMC 2 Als – From disappointment to a strong finish! 🏁
Unfortunately, the qualifying session was completely ruined when one of the two groups was up to half a second faster than the other... This meant that I – along with many others – ended up far down the field, even though I had the speed to do better. I started in P13, but that was far from accurate based on my speed in qualifying.
🔹 Heat 1: P13 > P9 > P14 – good driving, but a 5-second penalty set me back.
🔹 Heat 2: P14 > P17 > P13 – locked up in turn 3 and went off the track. Penalty to others saved a position.
🔹 Heat 3: P14 > P8 > P12 – good speed, but bumper penalty.
🔹 Pre-final: P24 > P12 – runs over a kart at the start, but restart saves me. Gains 12 places in second start!
🔹 Final: P12 > P8 – ends the weekend with good pace and strong driving 💪
Despite unfair suffering, I fought my way through the entire field and ended the weekend with good confidence and even more hunger for the next race!
The next race is Belgium BNL 2 on May 16-18.
