DRMC 5 Ikast – race weekend summary 🏁
The fifth round of the DRMC has been completed, this time in Ikast.
👉 Qualifying: P7 in the group. It was a dry qualifying session, but not quite the result we had hoped for.
👉 Heat 1: P8 ➝ P6. The race was run in rain and on a wet track, which is not to my advantage. After this heat, I unfortunately got food poisoning, so the rest of the weekend was a bit of a challenge.
👉 Heat 2: P7 ➝ P2. I got off to a great start and gained four places on the first lap. Penalties for P1 and P2 put me in P2.
👉 Heat 3: P7 ➝ P9. A difficult heat, where I ended up in some tricky situations and lost the front group. Then it became a battle for P7.
👉 Pre-final: P10 ➝ DNF. Unfortunately, the spark plug died right at the start, which ruined my entire starting position for the final, where I had expected to be among the front runners as I had the speed for it.
👉 Final: P27 ➝ P17. Fortunately, I showed good speed, made strong overtakes, and made the right decisions. But since I started far back, it was impossible to catch up with the front group.
All in all, it was a weekend that started well but was severely affected by both technical problems and illness. It's frustrating, of course, but I'm taking the positives with me – especially the speed in the final.
Now the focus is on the last race of the season – DRMC 6 in Vojens, where I will give it everything I've got. 💪

It means a lot to me to have this support for my high school education, as sport takes up a lot of my school time, and it gives me even more motivation to work hard going forward.
