DRMC Rødby

Update from DRMC 1 Rødby

  • Qualification: p7 – Okay qualification, I could have set a better time.
  • Heat 1: p7>p14>p12 – A poor heat where I made many mistakes. The kart had decent speed.
  • Heat 2: p7>p3>p5>p4 – An incredibly good heat with fantastic speed, where I gained three places within two laps and was in p3 for most of the heat. I got into the fight later on and ended up in p5. A penalty for the kart in front gave me p4.
  • Heat 3: p7>dnf – I get a hard push from behind going into turn 1 and take four other drivers with me off the track. Fortunately, nothing is damaged, just a slightly bent frame.
  • Pre-final: p21>p30>p31 – Poor race in the middle of the field. Many collisions and mistakes. The frame is now badly bent and is 0.5 seconds off the pace.
  • Final: p31 – I am significantly behind due to the frame and am therefore unable to keep up. A minor crash causes me to lose the pack and I have to settle for p31.

Although the race in Rødby had its ups and downs, I gained a lot of experience. From qualifying in P7 to the challenges I encountered in the heats and finals, it has been an educational weekend with good speed in the first heats. I am already looking forward to coming back even stronger and continuing my work to improve.

The next race is May 2-4 on Als.
